“Go, therefore, and made disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the holy
Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
Holy Orders are given to make a man a deacon, priest, or bishop.
In the Sacrament of Holy Orders, or Ordination, the person being
ordained vows to lead other Catholics by bringing them the sacraments
(especially the Eucharist), by proclaiming the Gospel, and by providing
other means to holiness.
Persons called to this vocation are involved in some of the most
important moments of people's lives: marriages, funerals, baptisms,
reconciliation, counseling, etc. It is a life full of surprises
and joys.
Any gentleman interested in exploring the question of vocation
to the priesthood or the permanent diaconate should contact one
of the parish priests or deacons at the Parish office, at 744-8566.
We will also be happy to direct persons interested in living their
lives as Religious Sisters or Brothers. |
