Sunday, August 26: Collection
of backpacks for 150 Outreach children as they return to school.
Simply place backpacks and school
supplies in the food bins.
It is imperative that we receive everything this weekend
so we can arrange distribution on Wednesday, August 29th.
1st - Operation-Backpack needs backpacks. All
sizes from elementary through high school are needed. Simply purchase
a backpack for a child as they begin school and place it in the
Outreach food bin before mass next weekend.
2nd - Of course, we still will continue
to need school supplies to help families defray costs for the tools
of learning. School supplies that we need are: pocket calculators,
protractors, highlighters, school bags, lunch boxes, black Ðand-white
marble books, three and five subject note books, dividers, back-packs,
loose-leaf paper and binders, index cards, scissors, crayons, rulers,
glue, markers, folders, pencils, and pens. Simply place your donated
school supplies in the food bins. It is imperative that we receive
everything on the weekend of August 25/26 so we can arrange distribution
on Wednesday, August 29th.
3rd - All monies donated to Operation-Backpack
will be used to help defray the anticipated $3,000 cost of Payless
Sneaker Vouchers and missing school supplies.
On behalf of our needy children, we thank you for
your continued support and generosity. May the Holy Spirit continue
to bless you and your loving families.
