The Rite of Christian
Initiation (R.C.I.A.) is the process through which interested
adults are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith
and way of life. They are educated in the theological lessons
necessary to allow them to receive the Sacraments of Baptism,
Eucharist and Confirmation.
Volunteers with this ministry support those going through
R.C.I.A. as small group discussion leaders, sponsors, and
resources. |

The children’s R.C.I.A.
program brings the Good News of Jesus to children age 7 and
above and prepares them for the Sacraments of Initiation at
the Easter Vigil. This is open to children from different
faiths who wish to become Catholic or for those who have been
delayed in receiving the first sacraments.
Members of this ministry assist and support the children,
with concentrated effort in welcoming them into our family
of faith. |

Pre-Cana is a Catholic course
on marriage. Engaged couples are required to participate in
the course before they can be married in the Catholic Church.
These six sessions help couples to develop a stronger faith,
learn and interact with married couples, and discover new
things about themselves and their partner in preparation for
married life.
Members of this ministry help engaged couples by sharing
their faith, practical information, and life experiences that
will help guide them to a successful marriage in today’s
world. Training is provided. |
